What is a Foot Health Practitioner?

Sarah is a trained Foot Health Practitioner who delivers routine foot care where needed. She is trained to assess foot conditions, treat appropriately and refer on where necessary. She treats children, adults and the elderly where simple foot care and advice is needed to maintain mobility and quality of life. She is experienced in working in residential homes, private companies, clinics and clients own homes.

 

What areas does Sarah's mobile clinics visit?

Sarah can visit you at home if you live in Cannock (Satffordshire), Tamworth (Staffordshire), Atherstone (Warwickshire), Polesworth (Staffordshire), Sutton Coldfield (West Midlands) and Donisthorpe (Derbyshire).If you live in any of these areas and would like to book an appointment, simply call 07984 313339.

 

What does a Foot Care treament solve?     

Foot Care treatments deal with any foot issues such as:   

  • Corns and Calluses
  • Toenail Problems
  • Diabetic Care
  • Dry, cracked skin
  • Athletes Foot 
  • Verrucas and Warts
  • Foot Care and Footwear advice 
  • General Orthotics  

 

Her treatments normally last half an hour and will consist of:

  • Nail trim and tidy  
  • Removal of callus and corns
  • Assesment and treatment of any other concerns
  • Ongoing foot care advice
  • Cream and massage

  

Within her mobile clinic, Sarah uses strict hygine practi ces. A clean, sterile instrument kit, clean gloves, single use blades where sterile blades are opened, used and disposed of in front of you, skin disinfectatnts and regular hand washing is undertaken for every client. No same instrument kit or equipment is used twice. After rounds, all instrument kits are scrubbed clean and sterilised using an ultrasonic bath and medical grade Autoclave. 

 

What qualifications does Sarah have?

Sarah has a complete and industry recognised Diploma in Foot Health Care. She is also appears on the Voluntary Register of Professional Practitioners and is a registered and active member of the Alliance of  Private Sector Practitioners. She undertakes continued professional development in a variety of ways and works closely with a network of colleagues. She is fully insured and legally represented.
